Mike what year is the body in those pics ?? Early 60's ?? Looks like the 300 was installed after. What transmission did you put in ?? I see the length of the engine cover is modified. Any more particulars about this machine ?? I'm interested.....

yes i think it is early 60's model engine must have been installed after because they came with a Chrysler t120 engine originally. it as a 4 speed with a reverse transmission. don't know if the cover was modified. carburetor was changed not to long ago. i have a few spare parts, metal tracks, a sprocket that is like new, a wheel for the trailer and one for the J5, some bolts, bearings... ! good running machine runs smooth and works well. the winch is not installed on the picture ( on the trailer) it is installed under the boom and the wire goes on the 2 pulley and down with a log tong to grab an lift logs onto the trailer. all one needs is to install some metal posts in the brackets and that's about it. where are you located?

I live in NL. Transportation shouldn't cost too much as I was a truck driver for 30 years, accross the country & down south. I have a few contacts.
Did you change the rad when the engine was replaced ?? You said you have tracks. Is it a full set or just sections ?? I have lots of rims for both J5 & trailer. I could use a couple of good used tires though...
How far north of the Flying J (40/17 split) in Quebec are you ??

now i know why your nickname is old trucker, it's always a good thing to have some contact in transportation because it can get expensive quickly....
i'm about 45-1h00 drive from that split, 30 minutes from hawkesbury if you come up the 417 then the road 17 or you can go up highway 15 north then take the new highway 50 all the way to road 323, i'm 7 minutes from that exit.
i did not change th erad or replaced the enigne myself, i got the J5 and this engine rad and all was already installed, the rad does not leak or have broken fins. it is clean and does not look too hold. it as a 12v Fan pushing air on the rad, vey powerful fan! I have some metal section for the tracks not complete tracks, the metal part that old the 2 rubber tracks together.
