I use Yapta for long term plans. Updates prices often. I'm planning this Christmas / New Years trip to Poland. The price keeps dropping. I plugged in 5 different departure / return dates.

For travel in near future, look it up on any of those sites, then go directly to the airline site - usually get it cheaper direct.

That's what I usually do too. If you purchase from the airline and then have a dispute there are less middlemen to point the finger at.
 
I have found since the airlines have taken away the commission for the travel agents that going direct to the airline is best.
