Best 3 minutes on television ever!

That clip is from a HBO series called "The Newsroom".

Jeff Daniels plays the anchorman. IIRC, this clip is from the first episode.

A pretty decent series. It's a hard left leaning show that bashes the Repubs a lot and the Tea Party even harder but the writing is sharp.
 
Definitely Jeff Daniels, not Bill Pullman. And as for it being the best three minutes ever ... I realize that someone marked the
clip with that label, but in my opinion it doesn't even come close. Edward R. Murrow taking on Tailgunner Joe McCarthy,
live coverage of the moon landings, the Challenger disaster; all better examples worthy of praise than this screed. "The
Newsroom" has such a slant to the left that I'm surprised it manages to stay upright, if it could even be called "upright"
without twisting that word completely out of shape.

Actually, I think it was labeled as The Most "Honest" Three Minutes In Television History. I never saw the show so I don't know which way it leaned, but as this clip confirms, even the left gets it right once in awhile.
 
While I'll admit America is not what she used to be, and I think were dangerously close to destroying her. I have never once had the desire to leave here. So if America isn't the Greatest Country in The World. Who is? I haven't heard of another country that American's are trying to get into, to escape this "not so great nation".
