Been saving money on TV bills,I ditched Dish network in November. It was due to their price was getting too high and I had enough. It was worth it doing this and use streaming services which some are free and do have to pay for a couple a month. Saved a ton of money going to streaming. Dish was not too happy with me on this when I told them to cancel it. Son is getting used to the changes and figuring everything out. Was paying $160.00 a month with Dish Network and figured out I saved over a lot of money ditching them going to streaming. Did get my mom to do it too and she had Direct TV, loves that she has saved on her tv bills too

I'm close and would loose cable TV in a minuet but i cant get my wife to figure out how to stream stuff.
I have youtube family so we get no commercial's that's just under 30.00$
I've been looking at youtube TV at 85ish I dint know about that???
We get no local tv living in the Canyon here.

We went to all streaming several years ago (maybe 10?).

My internet costs me $85/month. My daughter pays for Hulu, she also pays for Netflix. I tag onto her Hulu for free. I have an extension of her Netflix that costs $7/month? I pay for Amazon, but it is included with my "prime" membership so it is sort of free? My sister-in-law pays for MAX and Apple and lives in the guest apartment on my property so I have access to both of those for free. All in, I guess I am paying a little over $100 for internet & streaming services combined.

I have ROKU streaming boxes on all my TV sets. Most of my TV sets are "smart TVs" but each brand is little different, so by hooking a ROKU box to the TV set, the ROKU over rides each of the various idiocyncratic oddities of each different TV and makes all the TV sets work the same way. Pretty much makes TV idiot proof.

One smart TV that I do not like is the Amazon FIRE TV. Amazon prioritizes their programming, it is hardly neutral platform. So of all the smart TVs out there the Amazon FIRE TV sets benefit most from hooking a ROKU box to them and overriding the FIRE operating system.
