bczoom's Mom as well

Unfortunately, I need to add my Mom as well.

A couple years ago she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

She had the Whipple procedure which helped and bought her some time. She opted out of chemo and radiation so they were giving her about 6 months.

She felt good so we had a chance to do a lot of things together. Last fall, we all went to Hawaii and this summer, my Mom, sisters and myself took a trip out west for a couple weeks. They were great opportunities to get closer to each other again (as I live a few hundred miles away and don't get to visit often).

Unfortunately, after that trip, she started fading fast.

She's accepting and ready to pass and just hopes/prays she goes soon and without much pain.

She was moved into hospice yesterday and the care-givers and doctors say she has only days or weeks left.

If possible, please keep her in your thoughts/prayers for a quiet, painless and peaceful passing.

You got it from me too, BC. I've already shared my story with you, and I admire you and your family for making your moms last years some of the best.

Like I said when you first told me of you mom's condition BC, your mom and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. :tiphat: to you and your sisters for what you've helped your mom do and see over the past year. Very commendable. :tiphat:

Brian,

Saw this yesterday while on the road but could not post while driving but I will keep your mother and family in my prayers.

I'm sorry for your loss bczoom....my thoughts and Prayers are with you and your Family.

I'm sorry for your loss Brian. I'm so glad you and your sisters got to take her on the trip out west last year. Good job buddy!!!
Remember the good times and help your dad through all this. I feel for the spouse left behind. I can only imagine the emptiness that must leave.
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

BC, I know it is tough even though you knew it was coming. Best wishes to you and your family as you guys honor your moms memory and celebrate her life and remember all the ways she enriched your lives.

BC, I wish there was some magic words to say to make it easier. I'm glad it was peaceful, it makes it so much easier for those of us left behind on that great journey she is now on.
Stay close to the rest of the family, and remember the best times together. It will help with the closure of this chapter of your life.

My thought and prayers are with you Brian. These are never easy times, but your friends and family are all all supporting you.

Sorry to hear that Brian. My prayers are with you. May God Bless You and your family.

Thanks everyone.

Since we all knew it was coming and had the opportunity to spend a lot of time together since doing great things, it made it easier.

For sure Brian, being prepared for saying goodbye does make it a whole lot easier.
