Back to the grind

Well, I've been back two months now, and am heading back out on the road. I thought my days of long haul were over, and tried to get a more or less local driving job upnorth. But we all know how this lack of an economy is working out. I can't even attempt to sell my house in Monroe without taking a huge loss. And there just isn't anything in Barton City area.
Had another large company call me and offered a not "too" bad deal. Drive for two weeks, and off a week. Plus the terminal is only 25 miles away. So I took it. I leave for Green Bay in the morning. They even rented me a car to get there instead of taking a bus, plus the pay isn't bad.
Really don't want to do this, but the cost of living has gone up so much, fuel, food, seems like everything since I started this two years ago.
Hopefully, I can get Jan up there next month, and I'll follow every two weeks.
Anyway, thanks to all the new friends on here. I'll try to keep up with all the goings on as time allows.

Thanks guys, and yes, I WILL make more of an effort this time around to stay in touch. As it stands, this gig may work out better for Jan and I. At the least, I won't be gone for 3 weeks plus at a time.
Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy being in a "big truck", even with the drawbacks.
Looks like this will be my last post for a couple weeks.
