ATV pulled Flail mower !!!

BigAl

Gone But Not Forgotten
My nieghbor picked up one ,used . Its a 4' . That is without a doubt the handiest damn thing . It set in his yard for 2 years ,without being used, before I talked him into trying it out . I think he was a little nervous of it . I can now mow down by the lake in 45 minutes what use to take 8 hours . I'm off to go play with it this morning !!!:dizzy::biggrin:

Don't you have snow? Even I have a few inches of snow on the ground and have not mowed anything for over a month here.

Al,be careful to not find some old wire or garden hose, etc. If a flail mower finds it, you'll have all kinds of fun getting it off the shaft. Don't ask how I know this !!!!

Al, are you sure it's a "Flail" Mower. Or is it just a tow-behind rough cut mower:

I used to have one of these and it was useful. A little cumbersome at times and it could get overpowered in thick grass. Occasionally, I wish I still had it but I was able to sell it for what I paid for it and I'm not hurting with out it.

Here is a picture of an ATV Flail mower

Well you learn something every day. That's pretty neat. It doesn't look like offsets much. That's the one thing I miss about my rough cut was that I could offset it out to the side and trim under trees.
