First will be the walkaround video, as I've been asked by many who are curious about this "hybrid" snowcat, if you can call that.

I just called it #projectGreenGo, being that its Green and its an Argo

Powered by a good and efficient little 3 cyl diesel, surprisingly, it did well, to the point where I think its my favorite tracked machine that I've owned.

Capable, agile, comfortable, did I say comfortable?!

Yes, obviously it went through a bit of a "nikson's touch" stage, but heck, I wouldnt be Nikson!

p.s. definitely makes me feel like I'm on the right track with the diesel install on the 1544 as my next "project" (do those ever stop?!)

Enjoy vids, all questions are welcome!

is that still chain drive to each axle ? pretty useful machine.
do you run 5 psi air in the tires?

Yes, its chain drive to all tires, so its actually 8x8 without idlers.
its size definitely has its good sides, I'm able to get through some weird terrain, and being as wide as it is, its very stable.
Last time I checked pressure - tires were around 7-8psi, I'm thinking of bumping them up to 12 +/- to get me more tension on the tracks.

in Low gearing, when hill climbing or turning around in a lot of soft powder, tires seem to spin out (kinda like Frandee did until I put more tension on tracks).

Let it snow!!!

on my 6x i went to 2 lbs when the tracks were off. yours is built stronger but with harder tires my wheel bearings didn't last as long. with tracks I needed hard tires.

Still havent found any info on "required" min & max PSIs on them for tracks, not even in the manuals. Centaurs have much stronger components from what I hear vs other Argo versions.

I'm happy where things are now, more or less know what to expect out of the machine, they all have their limitations.
