Ok .... I know I am not suppose to get any more Snowcats but it ain't my fault . I have a Snowcat sitting in Alaska that needs to be transported to the lower 48 . I can picked up anywhere along the western states bordering Canada . Otherwise it will sit until I can get up there next year on vacation .

If anyone is coming this way ,let me know and lets see if I can make it worth your time to haul it down . It will fit on a standard car trailer .
Tracks have been removed . Does not run .
Thanks,
Allen

Oh no. Say it ain't so...say it ain't so!!! You didn't buy a... a...

Yep I did . I just want to take one apart and see what the fuss is all about . I left you a phone message too .

Al,
Post this query over on YTmag and see if you get any hits

Thanks a million :thumb: .I posted my needs . That is a really neat resource and we should consider adding that to FF in a section . People are always wanting something moved . Wish I had know about that when I hauled my son's car back to Wisconsin for him .

I'm waiting to hear from my buddy going to Jackson Hole. Soon as I hear I'll let you know.

Thanks Dan ,
I don't care what Mouse Ear Mike and Bogus Bob said about you . Your alright in my book :thumb:

Well...I have a Snowcat sitting in the lower 48 that needs to be transported to Alaska. Maybe we should try to figure something out that would work for both of us? :applause:

I am working on it as we speak !!
I'll let you know in a PM what happens

Did you buy O'l number 344 out in Delta Junction?

Well ... I really don't know what Serial number it is ,but yes it is in Delta Junction . Have you seen it ? I purchased off of pictures i saw and plan to work on it as a "restore hobby" later when I feel better .

PS : I sent you a PM .

No, I have not seen #344 in person, but I did talk to the owner's brother-inlaw about it. From the sounds and looks of it, it will be another challenging project to go along with your KT7. Here is the original for-sale posting that I ran accross: http://forums.outdoorsdirectory.com/showthread.php?t=16168

Are these the pictures that you saw?

The 5th down shows the serial number!

Yep ! Thats it . I could not read the serial number in the original ad pictures . For some reason its more readable on your post .

Big Al, if this is the one....

Yep thats just what I like to see... a man with no fear... if you bought this sight unseen, hats off to ya..:thumb: by the way, is that an auxillary heater on the left rear fender?

Beats the hell outta me ???? I just found out it has Thickol spockets . What was that old song Johnny Cash sung about some Cadillic thats made up of different parts over 20 years ?????:snow2_smi:

Who got caught in the Snow Trac trap??? Wasnt me.:yum: That looks like a heater to me. That unit would be easy to get up and running again! BUT knowing BigAl its gonna be sporting a new Ford King Ranch Fancy paint job and leather heated seats. Hell he will probably have a bar and waiter inside at all times! Lets see you have sold your Kristis (except1) and now have a Snow Trac. Looks like someone saw the light. Welcome aboard BigAl. :applause: Welcome aboard.

BigAl, you just keep getting closer to owning an actual running real snowcat like a Thiokol each day. Looks to me like the prior owner was going try to modify the drive system with the Thiokol sprockets. That would make it really fast with the added auxiliary jet motor (heater) on the fender. :thumb:

Or you could just buy one of Mice Eared Mike's Thiokols and actually go out and play in the snow this winter. Either one could pull both your Kristi and Snot Trac behind and not even miss a beat....:yum:

Man...I kept reading the title of this thread and wondering why Al was interested in a dead guy heading from Alaska.

Good Morning Ladies & Gentlemen :tiphat: ,

AS Mr. Mouse Ear has mentioned I have sold the KT4 to Mr. Flathorn and the KT3 is currently listed for sale $4500. Health problems were my biggest reason for selling .I do not think you will see me selling old Yetti #7 anytime soon .I been close a few times, but now that the hydro guys are working on it, I feel confident again . My heart and soul are invested in it , along with my souls wallet .

The Wife has always wanted a Snot Trac as it is a fairly simple looking thing to operate . I pointed out to her that if Bogus Bob and MOuse Ear Mike could do it , you could train a frog to do it .:yum: My wife does not look or think like a frog ....... so she should easily learn the limited amount of skill needed to run it ,that the "Snot Trac Twins" had such a hard time learning .

Until I actually get it down here and inspected I have know idea of my full intentions . Maybe I could use it to "Run out of gas in " or buy a "little circus tent" and scatter it all over the floor . Decisions, decisions .

As of right now we are seeing if we can develope a plan to get it picked up yet this year before the snows fly . Options are being explored as I write this .
Coffee is on and the doors open .

OR you could get it 95% done and just leave it in your garage? :yum: Then you could practice making VW engine noises as you shift it in your minds eye!
