Anybody else tired of Christmas songs on the radio? Some stations have been playing them since Thanksgiving! I was behind the wheel of my car for about an hour and nothing but Christmas songs and AM and FM. I hope they go away tomorrow. Hey, I like them but enough is enough.

Not me.

But then again I really haven't been listening to much radio. We were at a close friend's house last night, I actually found a station that played wall to wall Christmas songs for the hour drive each way to/from their house. So fe me it was a change of pace to actually hear Christmas tunes.

Apparently you listen to a lot more radio than I do.

I stream a lot of music to my car radio from my playlist, which is generally classic rock. The cars have AM/FM/Sirius radios but if I am not streaming my own music then I either listen to rock/classic rock or news. So literally have not heard many seasonal tunes this Christmas season.

I used to be bothered by it by Dec 1st. This year is the first year I didn't complain when my wife would change the radio to the Christmas song channel. I went with it and decided not to let it bother me. Over 50% of the time I listen to music that is on my phone. No Christmas music there but I think my wife is tired of the Christmas music as she does not change to that channel like she did a few weeks ago. Ho Hmm. No problem.

Absolutely. We have the Sirius subscription in each of our vehicles. She's into modern country which has been playing random Christmas music mixed with their regular stuff. I tend to prefer the 80s/90s rock channels but also throw in some of the nascar channel and some hair nation for stuff I grew up listening to. I've been avoiding the Christmas music all December until a few days before Christmas. She and I both enjoy the message on the Sirius. I like to listen to it for new songs to play at the church services I play guitar at every Saturday as we're a more upbeat contemporary service vs the typical Sunday choir and long drawn out hymns played on the organ. For the whole month of December that channel has been playing nonstop Christmas music.

I like 1950s, 1960s and old country.

I have a digital radio which I keep on a local station 24/7.
They didn't start playing Christmas songs until mid December, and even then they weren't continuous.
I don't mind Christmas music.

I'm tired of Christmas music as of today. I enjoy it after Thanksgiving until the day after Christmas. I'm also tired of my Christmas tree. I put it up early, so it's coming down either this evening or tomorrow evening.

Most of the people stay indoors a lot during the winter months up here in Iowa so I guess they figure there is a captive audience.
I only heard a handful when I was in stores, but even that wasn't much. And they weren't dominating every station as per usual. Perhaps most weren't in the Spirit this year.

I like Christmas music and a lot of it is from the 1950s by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Gene Autry and others, which is great and brings back good memories but it doesn't matter whether it's Christmas or any other music, over and over and over is way too much. My favorite station and others started it the day after Thanksgiving. Yesterday, EVERY station was playing Christmas music.
