ANY SW's BOMBI's or small tracked machines for sale out EAST

not sure if your a new jack when it comes to cats but there r way better choices out there----I am here in upstate ny if u want to talk cats---- I have 5 cats from small to big ---2 track and 4 track cats

The "BR-100" listed might actually be a BR100+ since it has the auto trans. A little rich for my blood but my first snowcat was a Bombi so I have a soft spot for that series of cat. What a nice restore job, and those wheels look like Thiokol/LMC style which is interesting. The blade up front is worth a few extra bucks too IMO. Thanks for the snowcat porn Backyardski!

Nothing wrong with the little bombardier snowcats. Put a better engine in one and it can play with the big boys. Talking with someone with cat experience can save you money and get you in your perfect cat quicker.

That blue br100 does look brand new and having the blade is very helpful. Someone definitely loved that machine. If anyone was looking at that ad and considering spending $35k on a br100 contact me instead.

Slow rider, if you find, <while searching craigslist and other forms of for-sale stuff> a cat in the midwest, don't hold back asking for someone to check it out for you.
Like good picnic spots, it seems that the best spots/deals always seem to be somewhere else. I have been know to drag empty trailers east and west in search of the best deals. I have a non-forum friend going east at some point to retrieve a snow cat treasure. that would be some free shipping as western PA is in the way,.....

Many members here have input to share, tap into that network of wealth. a forum member here set me up with my first snow cat by towing it 8 hrs towards me. we met in the middle and a friendship was born.

I wound up hating that cat as it was very small and light. it had all the right parts to play with the big boys (as sean put it) it was just bundled by bombardier engineers that were much more nimble or smaller statured than this guy.
If its your first cat welcome to the fun, FWIWorth, an SW is not a snow cat. those sidewalk machines are designed for plows and are great at pulling a load or pushing a v plow, but forget about going over the snow, in my opinion those puppys go through the snow.

Other than the fact they have tracks, I've never understood why they're discussed on a snowcat forum. They're not made to be an over-snow vehicle as are snowcats.

When and where I grew up, I saw the standard Bombardier sidewalk plows frequently. When they wore out the public works department replaced them with... small John Deere bulldozers with enclosed cabs.
 
wow that's funny---- I wasn't be a wise guy when I said there was better choices out there---- I just had a guy come today to check out my cats----and he figured out my pb is big and wide and that a tucker will work better for him
 
Agreed on the SW will only go through the snow. Unless modification is made like Bombardier did with the SW48 chassis with smaller tires/wheels and wider tracks (31”) like their BR110 they actually did pretty good in the snow work great for trails and plowing
