We just installed 125ft of this on our winch. and also got the 125 ft extension rope.... seams to be cool stuff.. much easier then the cable... guess we will see once we use it in the real world..

does any one else use this and have any pointers or info?

I didn't take any pictures of it installed but I will next time.

I have it on my winch and prefer it over steel.

You're supposed to switch from a roller to a Howse fairlead if you haven't already done so. This is because the rope is flexible enough to get caught in the gap between the vertical and horizontal rollers. If you're sticking with roller, just watch out for your pulls when the rope is in the corners.

It's great.
Use the nylon tube sleeves to protect it from abrasion and carry a short steel extension cable to attach to difficult objects.

yeah we still have the rollers..... but they are fairly new and shouldn't have any sharp parts... :( Just not sure about doing the new fair lead yet.. Probably should

Briarpatch here, I just switched my steel cable to the Amsteel rope on my F-350. I broke the cable about 2 weeks ago after we got stuck just above our cabin. I was able to keep the roller fairlead and switch the steel rollers out to a polyurthane roller as they recommended, to protect the rope. They make a kit to switch the roolers out.

I am anxious to see out well the new rope works out.

all of our new tugs up here are using it to uv light will weaken the rope over time so keep it covered the crews on the tugs have covers on there winches other than that they love it makes it lots easyer ti tie them up to lots less work to drag out 100 feet ot arnsteel than 1 inch cabel
