any one hear about torvec

any one hear about an outfit called torvec they make a neat steering transmission that through hydraulic mechaical actuation to preform the same duties as a varriator.what do you think boggie work good in your new snowcat.
 
We had a sundstrad transmission in a fire truck it looks similar to the one you posted and nothing but headaches for us.

Supposedly they were used in army tanks.
But in an army crash truck/ pumper and it didn't work we ended pulling it and putting in an Allison. I could have been mis engineered there was a lot miss engineering on this truck and I was glad when we sold it.

sounds like they aren't too interested in making many of them sounds like a great concept for a trail groomer but at 10k for the steering diff you are going have a hard time competing with the hydro static drive rigs
