Going through the mail today and there much to my surprise was the good ol' Publishers Clearing House sweepstakes telling me I may have "won" (yeah right)
But it got me thinkin, have any of you guys ever won anything big like a vacation or car ect? Unfortunately I have not but I better get finished cleaning my house for the publishers clearing house and the tv crew!

One of those things came here today as well. They annoy me yet I still fill them out. I've done so many of them, I know exactly the little games they play. It only takes a couple minutes to throw one together. A few years ago someone in the county won. I don't remember how much, but it wasn't the big prize. They won somewhere between $10,000 and $100,000. :o The local news station was there.

Did you hear about this on, woman won £1.5 million and didnt tell her husband, he found out when she went on a phone in radio show, boy I bet he was pizzed

:yum:

They always show up when you have curlers in your hair to make you look wholesome and "down home".

I win about everytime I head for the mailbox. I'm PREAPPROVED!:yum:

But, seriously folks, back in 1988 I "won" (the opportunity to pay the taxes of:pat: ) a Yamaha TerraPro http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/epic_atv/1988_terrapro_small.aspx with all the gadgets in a radio station give away. It seems being left-handed finally paid off. The Yamaha dealer circulated a bowl of keys to around 15 of us who won some trivia question on the radio. I was the sixth to draw a key from the bowl. My key fit and started the ATV.
Pretty good deal, worth around $12,700. Came with the ATV, 2 sprayers, 2 mowers, hydraulic system, tiller. Taxes were around $750.00, kept it around 4 years till I got in a financial crunch when I returned to finish college, sold it to pay my property taxes.

Easy come - Easy go.

About six months later, my sister-in-law won a new Olds Cutlass in a similar radio give-away.

Of course, winning this probably has screwed me out of ever winning anything else.

I had a TerraPro for several years. With it's PTO and 48" woods mower standard, it was one heck of an idea. If it were 4 wheel drive, I'd still have it. I just had an issue with using it as an ATV (with the mower deck off) and getting stuck in the mud. It was awfully nice to be able to mow on a vehicle that had suspension and those big soft tires.

I never got mine stuck (my wife did though-when
I got on it, it pulled right out of the jam). The machine did an excellent job mowing with the finish mower, and you're right about the ride. But, I sort of got disillusioned with it because of poor dealer support (I'd take it in to have them do a fluid change from one end to the other including all the various PTO cases, etc. and it would take them a week!; once I also waited ten days for an air filter - the dealer just did not take the TerraPro seriously) and all its proprietary type hitches etc. Of course right after selling it, I was kicking myself.:pat:

Anyway, that's what I won.:17875:
