any thoughts on norton my subscription is about to run out not sure what to go with what do you use and why i am running win 7

I've used the free AVG for quite some time and am very pleased with it. I now use it on all my computers. I would never buy Norton or MacAfee ever again.

Avast here too , its the easiest on using computer resources I have found . Anything else causes my computer when it updates due to me having an outdated computer .

Had AVG for years but switched to avast a few months ago. We have norton at work and I find it slows down the computer allot.

I'll 2nd what you said GMRguy. Norton sure slowed down our work computers so much we called it a virus. LOL.

Before you install any other anti virus benpp be sure you uninstall Norton completely. It can be tough to uninstall, but hopefully that is better nowdays.

I have AVG on my laptop and Avast on the workstation and I'm happy with both.

was a big AVG and AVAST fan for many years...now slowly switching all my systems over to Microsoft Security Essentials...its just too easy...

All 3 are top rated and you can't go wrong with any one of them...

Agreed. I have MSE on the laptops at home. We use Symantec at work, but it is an enterprise version.
