Some of you may be familiar with Alex McLarty from the Salvage Squad Snow Trac restoration show.
He is the Father of the snow trac in the UK, as he was the original importer of the snow trac from Sweden, beginning in the 1960's when Scotland had lots of snow.
He has apparently gone bust several times and is still trading under the name of McLarty's but I am not sure what he is selling!
I have spoken to the man once and he claimed to be able to provide written proof of the date of importation for my snow trac and trac master, which I need to road register them.
After several months of trying to obtain such proof from him I am told by his secretary that the documents have been lost.
This is a shame as the documents were readily available for the Salvage Squad team to date Bob's snow trac.
It is a real pity that the holder of the history of all of the snow trac vehicles in the UK could not have taken a little more care of his files...
If any one else fancies a go his office number is 0044 1764 652 121.
Good Luck!!
