Aktiv Snow - Trac built in Sweden between 1957 and 1981. Powered by a VW flat-four aircooled petrol engine driving the tracks through a conventional 4 speed gearbox with reverse.In storage many years I think ex goverment surplus in good working order, in fact looks as if its hardly been used needing only cosmetic attention.
Whilst conceived as a civilian vehicle the Snow - Trac was adopted by the British Royal Marine Commandos for operations in Norway on NATO's Northern Flank and an example can be seen at the REME Museum at Arborfield,Berkshire.Go to www.klovsjo.com/snowtrac for pics and info.
