I am having to replace the bogies on my new snow trac. and having a hard time finding the right size rims. any advice? and as far as tires do I need solid or foam filled with? what is the diameter that is originally used 12"?

your in the wrong section but those rims are special. I think they were from a small forklift. The first two should be foam because of the hard use from hitting bumps.
you may notice the st4b has brass wheels in this position.
give the WTB in the classifieds a try.

I have wheels some even have well used solid tires on them mine is equipped with all solid tires I'm not an advocate of all solid tires. I can get you some rims off a parts rig right now as winter is late coming and I can still get to them. I wouldn't recommend solid tires as they ride rough and rattle the snot out of every thing I did a big wheel conversion on mine and left the new tires pneumatic up front and have had no problems. you can get pneumatic aircraft tail wheels in up to a 6 ply rating that will fit the wheels they run about 60 bucks each this would be my recommendation. aviall has a catalogue that shows them. if you need any help pm me also some folks have used wheel barrow tires but those are quite a bit lighter than the original's and I wouldn't recommend them for any thing other than the return idler

Sorry, I am still trying to find where different areas are on this forum are. I have all solid tires now at least several are rusted through outer rim ring, almost all tires are loose on the rims. If I can not find the exact rim I figured at least have all to match. What is the big wheel conversion? Just using larger rims? What should be the over all height the tire be? Does the rim size mater as long as the over all height is maintained? I can probably find an alternate if this is the case.
I have been running loose solid tires for three years now. It is a little harder on the rims but have only one problem . The rim bolts worked loose on one.

Don,
Before you go giving those boggie wheels away please don't forget you still owe me some in trade for the drive gears I sent you a couple years ago. Claiming first dibbs mister
I have been trying to get back to where I found those nos wheels I had located t summers in a row now we have had so much rain the rivers haven't gone down if you wanted some of the older ones I can get those out I'm rolling in them
I guess I can hold out another year for the NOS!
I have been gone awhile how is the big wheel conversion holding up with the low snowfall you have been experiencing?
it has worked well, I had to replace tubes in the rear tires this summer. we really have no snow every thing is just a sheet of ice now so snow cat's aren't going any place. right now. 'm hoping that we finally get a dryer summer my plan is to drive the jeep or plaris 6x6 back and just load up on nos wheels I was thinking it would be nice to have a few for my self as the solid tires have cracked the centers out of a few of the wheels I havn't had that happen since I did the big wheel conversion.
