Gone But Not Forgotten
Well it happened and I am not totally surprised .
Quite a few people in my area know about my KT7 . This is a retirement based community full of bored people (men) with a lot of time and more money than they know what to do with ,on their hands .
Anyway, My doctor who is also a "avid extreme skier" asked me if I was interested in reproducing the KT7 for resale or if I would consider selling mine .My KT7 is staying in the family .
He said that if I was interested in remanufacturing a KT7 that they would want me to set up and run the company . I can be a employee or a partner that my discretion . Hmmm………Interesting . I am not sure I want to rejoin the rat race .
Their main interest is in "Remote mountain skiing and cabin access" .
He was telling me that the cost of “helicopter skiing” is getting so high that his group is looking for options .
So what’s your input ? Do you think there is a commercial market for something along these lines of interest .
They already have a marketing plan and want to manufacture about 5 or 6 units a year .
Price per unit is a critical question I have . I feel to really produce and market this unit commercially it needs to be in the starting “Bare Bones Base price” of about $35,000 . It could easily top out with options at over $50,000 .
So what would you pay if you were in the market ??? I figure this was a great place to pose this question since we have more “recreational snowcat owners and users” than anywhere .
Thanks for the input .
