I can't believe I figured this out! Here: follow my logic!
My dog sleeps about 20 hours a day.
He has his food prepared for him. He can eat whenever he wants.



His meals are provided at no cost to him.
He visits the doctor once a year for his checkup, and again during the year if any medical needs arise, and doesn't have to lift a finger to pay for it.
He lives in a nice neighborhood in a house that is much larger than he needs and he is not required to do any upkeep.
If he makes a mess, someone else cleans it up.
He has his choice of luxurious places to sleep.
He receives these accommodations absolutely free.
He is living like a King, and has absolutely no expenses whatsoever.
All of his costs are picked up by others who go out and earn a living every day.
I was just thinking about all this, and suddenly it hit me like a brick wall:
My dog is a member of Congress.

No it doesn't, Not to my little Cleo.
She has her own room, a 18' X 6' X 16'high green house, yes
She sleeps 20 hours a day, yes
She eats better fresh meat than I do, prepared daily, yes
She goes to the vet twice a year, more if she sniffles, yes
She can sleep anywhere she wants, which is usualy my lap, even at night, yes
She doesn't have to lift a finger, yes
And she doesn't pay for any of it.

But I do not clean up her messes. She wears a diaper so she can do all of the above.

See, unlike my Congressman, I have her crap under control.

On second thought, perhaps it best if I don't think about it.
