Today, the following ad popped up:

"1986 LMC w/10 man cab. Runs great, only has 727 hours. $28,500"

From the phone #, looks like it belonged to a local guest ranch. I can check it out or forward additional info if anyone is interested.

I called and spoke to Spencer who owns the rig. Sounds like it is in overall good shape and ready to go. He bought it a few years back from Snotrans.
His # is 970-641-2564 for those who have interest.

this clean looking one on a trailer is up at auction in Oregon.
LMC 1500 All-Terrain Vehicle, s/n L2U5140252, 6-cyl, Auto, 557 hours

That LMC 1200 does look good. Not many half door LMC 1200's.

The 1500 also looks good at first glance...now look at the hour meter in the pic on the jjkane site..now look at the pedals on the floor (not a LMC 1500) also look at the damage on the rain gutter on the passengers side (above the doors) the gutter is in sad shape, also a nice dent just above the flag on the passengers side. I want to see the roof and some interior pics of the front.

I talked with the people today they said the last one they sold went for about 23,000 but he did say it only had about 200 hours on it,

Yes I did they said it had a little over 500, the person that I had talked with said also that he had driven it and did not detect any problems, personally when I looked at the pictures the seat at least to me said that machine has lots of hours of somebody sitting in those seat looks like they are patched up with duck tape.

D

Overall, the machine looked kind of hammered for the 500 hours...not so bad for the 5000 hours shown on the other meter. But it's no secret I'm kind particular....

the last one sold was a tucker and I think snow trans bought it. before that a dmc with all rubber tracks sold in Spokane for 25. it was about like this one . maybe this one will sell with the trailer.

with a trailer wow that'd be great

I was invited to go to this auction and had to turn it down. curious to see what it sells for.

So what would be a good price to buy one like this for, as in good enough to consider a steal... as well as whats the resale after a good cosmetic restoration & some new leather on the seats... :)

Anyone care to throw a number down?

I still want to know which hour meter is correct. I'm struggling with the concept that the rig has only 500 hours on it.
As far as price goes, seems like Snotrans has the best handle on that. And re the cosmetic restoration, fixing that cab is not going to be one of the easier or less expensive tasks to take on. Seat covers, on the other hand, would sure make it show better....
I think I sold my 1500, which was sitting on summer tracks, for something like 21K, and had a little trouble getting that done.

FWIW and JMO...

the trailer is being auctioned seperatly. The 500 hr meter is from the cat, the 5000 hr is not a cat. I would like to know what happened to the roof. To many ??? to bid online, the 5 man 1500 is very nimble. Online bidding requires a deposit. That will discourage some bidders. I bet it goes 18-22k, but it depends on who shows up.

just sold for 25,500 and was told it was really clean. trailer was like new and went for 3000$

There are some on sale usually., average $25-30k and from the actual owner, rather than auction with a rig without any history to be told...

I would guess its better to pay few grand on top, but get one that was treated right, without the hassle of the auction...

Auction price for a rig like that should be $15-18k to be worth it as an auction buy...

wouldnt this be just as good of a buy? :)
