"The Ride",............. do you mean "the asthetic appeal of your Tucker",..... or do you mean "the performance of rubber tracks in comparison to steel"?How do you like the ride compared to the pontoons?
I was curious since you now have had both tracks on the machine, which one works better, rides better and is generally your favorite between the two?"The Ride",............. do you mean "the asthetic appeal of your Tucker",..... or do you mean "the performance of rubber tracks in comparison to steel"?
Your 443 looks amazing,......... and I have no experience to compare to, I've only ever ridden/driven a steel-track machine.
..... (And my steel pontoons are starting to crumble).
Howdy. Sold years ago. Thx................. Would the old pontoons be for sale?![]()
Howdy. Sorry about the delay. I’m terrible in the last few years of being on board with everybody here. I’m pulled in all directions. So, Brian summed it up nicely. The pontoons are a smoother & quieter ride for sure. My two main reasons , well three actually, is that maintenance is much easier & quicker, it matches my other Cats , as far as stocking spare parts for all. Interchangeability. And for me …. Looks appeal. Thx guys.LOL,............... I get it................ you're not talking to ME.
I got confused, thinking that "Sno-Surfer" was "olympicorange" ... (the original poster).
Okay, Olympicorange: ... Do you prefer rubber or steel tracks? ............. and do you still have the fiberglass pontoons and would they be for sale?
(I'm no longer confused............ well.......... about THIS thread, anyway).![]()
Thx Dave my man. Lots of scrambling to get the undercarriage under the green machine. Dragging my butt for three years. Had to motivate my painter. He had the track frames for 2.5 years out back of his shop. But once I got my hands on them it was full speed ahead. Great show. Bummed I missed the ride next day. But made it with old faithful for the cookout on top of the mountain, the next weekend. Great turnout. Had to help rescue the monster 1743. Electrical issue to starter. That doesn't even tell the story of the 'day before the show' events when the running gear wasn't even attached to that beast!
