yep, cycle testing..... complete..... we tested Honda da's, Yamaha, ha's, she zuki, and bull tacos.... they tasted great, most partial to the bull tacos and she-zuki's........

No, no... you remember nothing like this ... a thing of the past ... the photo-debt is paid in full... it is only contributions expected... the sense of reward through photographic donations is overwhelmingly fulfilling ... the sharing of engineering knowledge achieves a sense of euphoria :dizzy:non-descript...

... the real meal is a full spread centerfold of a pair :boobies::boobies:of hydraulic 6-series pistons!

Well, interesting turn of events....... had my morning briefing with the security
at the ultra new testing site this morning and we found that.. someone had breached security last night and was looking at the new cylinders they did leave allot of evidence behind and we think we know who it was.....

soon as they get done processing the evidence we will get some more photos

after processing the evidence the bandit must have been wearing gloves we found no prints, but we still know who it was.

The cylinder is the same OD as the simplex the length is the same the stroke
is shorter but it is enough the simplex stroke was too long anyway never got used. the bolt in the photo is for illustration only. tested to 10,000 psi
1/4" npt port.

Bloody imposters! Evidence planting and the whole nine yards! At least they got the beer WAY wrong... :brows: but I have to say, the offender clearly has splendid taste in snowcats! No early/youthful 'experimental' stage with Kristi's and Lametracks and such:w00t2:...straight to the real McCoy--THIOKOL!

Kind of hard to get those Guinness' to steer your snowcat.

You beat me to it, I designed a lower cost short stroke 600 slave cyl 2 years ago using SS shell and aluminum piston but I didn't have a way to test them (though I offered it to a few of you to try out, no takers...)

Nice work boggie.

By coincidence I do now have OC-4 slaves in stock. They will be on the website soon but here is a preview. Redesigned oversize ss piston uses same seals.

Looks like the Thiokol slave cylinder dilemma now has some options

Hey, watch it:hammer: Krusti's should even be mentioned in the same sentence as a superior snowcat like a Lamtrac. And then to compare them to a.......a..........Thiothingy......:hammer:

We all know a Lamtrac will will outperform a thiothing any day of the week.:whistling:

Well..... I do not want to look like I'm defending the Painer, but you have to understand that by the looks of things he may have under the infulence of his wimp arse beer,,,,,,,,:yum:

Yup! Up here, we call beer like that "near beer". That's that 0.5% beer you can buy at the grocery store.:whistling:

OK. That's it!
Anyone insults Mainer's brew again and it's a pink-slip drag-off! 1-mile flat packed straight away level path. No BS... straight-up raw snow-drag-off! Thiokol 603, modified (engine/gearing only allowed). Bring it! Beer ALLOWED! ;)
Jan/Feb 2010!
OK...no weird-ass odd-ball freak conversion cats Boggie and no odd-ball people haulers with skis or shaft-driven people mover trailer/cabs. No combination/conversion track systems. Need to be commercial production snowcat history with at least 1,000 units built and in operation and must be stock except for engine/gearing. Must be track-driven! No propellors, rockets, or alternate modes of accelerating force...track-only! Tracks and suspension system must be standard commercial snowcat style... no weird change-outs. No additional human/horse/alternate power supply. No tow ropes or other forms of outside forces can influence the cat in any way. Additional rules to be formulated.
Hopefully we can convince weatherby to make a showing with his beauty!

Groomerdudette,
With a name like LAMEtrack how do you think it will perform? Just so you know. The Engineers who designed it, NAMED it! Also it was made by a bunch of French dudes! The race is going forward not in reverse. If that was the case we all know anything made by the French will outperform anything else in reverse! The only thing you have going for you is that its not a Kristi! But not by much.

whats the prize we get watch you funnel some near beer? :yum:
seriously my Hagglund's with my grandson driving could beat you hands down.
enough units made? 40,000
engine blueprinted 454
automatic B&M with modified gearing 70 plus in the half........
well till I return from the lands of foreign, happy trails
do not loose to much sleep Mainer my grandson's only 6 and he can't see over the windshield yet.

Indeed! It would win hands down! But that's why I had removed that in the generic bucket of: "or shaft-driven people mover trailer/cabs"
Wooohooo! You know a fair fight ain't modern military! Come on! Thiokol 6-series is a bear but we can't use a nuclear weapon to take out a grizzly! ;)
Now, Kristi's, Backwards running machines, all ok... no modern PB's...that ain't fair neither. Maybe we should put a date limit.. nothing post 70's except the backwards runners...
Or maybe we should do tiering...
drag-off 60's, 70's, 80's, etc....
The prize? Prize is the pink slip of the other guy's cat that makes it to finals!
Pinks dudes! We're racing for pinks!:clap::clap: :brows:
Hmmm...manuals and auto's in seperate category? :ermm::w00t2:

just one more thing, before I leave, PINK, thats a girly color Mainer, MAINER.....is there something you would like to tell us? I think it should be for GREEN the universal denominator........

That's right dudes... I do *enjoy* the full international color spectrum of pink... [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WHPGcaoslJg"]YouTube - NATALIA FASSI - CAÑO ( AEROSMITH - PINK )[/ame]

All I know is I want to walk away with more cats than when I came... then I'm a happy camper...

There's that dang reoccurring theme of ... the brass pole! ;)

You must think you can win then? but it seems you keep changing the rules to fit your victory? this thread has totally been hijacked from where is started don't you think? maybe you should start your own thread. just me opinion.

Golly-gee Swamper, thanks for the amazingly wise insight. ;)
Really helpful!
It's a joke bud...relax.
Yes, I think we're all pretty good with taking threads wherever they like to go...if the group wants to go down that path, then hey...it's good fun for the forum... if no one is interested then they don't take it that way... but you the only one complainin'!
Believe me, at the right point, the group here will develop some sort of logical/analytical system for racing cats and it will be fun... then you can try to hi-jack the thread! 8)

Maybe I took it serious we used to have a collection of cats, we sold them all now. all but one. had over 35 at one point all owned by my father.some were the ones mentioned 601,602,603 and others all bought by a collector now. did not mean to push any butttons. it just seemed
the rules were changing. and it had strayed from the original post. but hey
if thats what you guys like. don't let me get in the way. I do not post as much as you guys. only no one other person on here. and only look here every so often.

sorry once again.

Richard
