Just got home from fireworks and 4th of July festival in the village of Beecher, IL. Its a small community in southern Will County, adjacent to Kankakee County and only a few miles west of the Indiana state line. We go to their fireworks most years. This year nothing looked familiar, chatted up a copper and found out that many of the other small villages cancelled their fireworks so people came into Beecher to see the show and enjoy the music, food booths and midway rides. It was DOUBLE +++ the size of prior years.
Best part was the church bells that were programmed to play patriotic music during the fireworks show.
We went with our Godson's family and extended family, all of whom spent the day at our house swimming in the pool and eating burgers & hot dogs. But no apple pie!!!
