yeah Bill ,i thought about the 460 for JAN being as Stihls are girly saws and all .:yum:
But after being ported ,at 76 cc's it should be close to a 70 cc ported Husky . As to what the wood was .... dont know .

What does "being ported" mean?

Bob

Back in the day, I had my intake and exhaust ports cleaned and polished on my Kawasaki 750 H2. This involved removing the casting seams and polishing the metal to enhance air flow. This process also enlarged the size of the ports slightly to further increase air and exhaust flow.

The transfer port is another part of the two stroker that sometimes needs some work to tweek in.

I also slightly increased the oil mixture to make the engine run a little cooler in high RPM situations but would result in the fouling of the center cylinder plug during extended periods stuck in traffic. A tradeoff for better performance.

Basically it's cleaning up the intake/ exhaust . But it also involves increasing compression ,changing the timing of the intake ,exhaust ,and transfer port timing . Do a search of woods porting ,and muffler mods .
Btw , run a ported saw , and you won't want to run a stock one again .

If I still had it, I'd race your ported saw against my ported H2 in a quarter mile. :yum:
