A few years back I missed one that size, or a little bigger, out in my pasture from about 120 yards. I got the hog equivalent of "buck fever". I flat out missed the son of a gun. I got close enough to scare the crap out of him and I've never seen him again … not on my property. I did see him once a couple of months later on the neighboring property but haven't clapped eyes on him since.
