2025 members of the Trump Executive Team

The Glass Ceiling is broken again, by another Trump appointee.
First ever female Chief of Staff.
I'd call her a woman but Harris voters don't know what a woman is. So maybe it's better to call her female?

Trump names campaign manager Susie Wiles as White House chief of staff

Wiles will be the first female White House chief of staff.

Nov. 7, 2024, 5:00 PM CST / Updated Nov. 7, 2024, 5:58 PM CST
President-elect Donald Trump on Thursday named co-campaign chair Susie Wiles as his White House chief of staff, one of the most important nonelected posts in Washington.
She will be the first woman in that role.
Wiles, 67, a Florida native, is one of the most respected operatives in Republican politics. Along with helping helm Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign, she was his state director in Florida during the previous two contests.
“Susie Wiles just helped me achieve one of the greatest political victories in American history, and was an integral part of both my 2016 and 2020 successful campaigns,” Trump said in a statement Thursday. “Susie is tough, smart, innovative and is universally admired and respected.”
Trump called his 2020 campaign “successful,” even though he lost the race to Joe Biden. For years, he has continued to make baseless claims that that election was stolen.
Before she joined Trump’s team, Wiles helped lead Rick Scott to victory as governor of Florida in 2010. He is now a U.S. senator. Wiles was also brought in to help save the 2018 campaign of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who won after initially having floundered.

Robert F Kennedy Jr.

Not sure exactly what position he will occupy. Clearly he is on the transition team, so he has a big say in things now. But where will he end up?

FDA?
USDA?
HHS?

My bet is probably the USDA.

RFK Jr. said Trump promised him ‘control’ of HHS and USDA

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. told supporters on Monday that former President Donald Trump has promised to give him “control” of several public health agencies, including the US Department of Health and Human Services and the US Department of Agriculture, if he wins a second term in November.
Kennedy, who suspended his independent presidential campaign in August and endorsed Trump, said during a livestreamed organizing event that Trump told him he’d oversee a vast public health portfolio if the former president returns to the White House, and added that he’d prioritize his agenda for “making America healthy.”
“The key that I think I’m – you know, that President Trump has promised me is – is control of the public health agencies, which are HHS and its sub-agencies, CDC, FDA, NIH and a few others, and then also the USDA, which is – which, you know, is key to making America healthy. Because we’ve got to get off of seed oils, and we’ve got to get off of pesticide intensive agriculture,” Kennedy said, according to video of the event obtained by CNN.

This is both good and bad.

She is a member of the US House of Representatives. Will we lose a House seat with this appointment? Can we afford to lose a House seat? While the next election will likely put a GOP replacement in her seat, does not the Governor of NY get to appoint her replacement for the upcoming session and, since the NY Governor is a liberal Democrat, why would she appoint a Republican to fill the seat?

Trump tells New York newspaper he has chosen Rep. Elise Stefanik to be U.N. ambassador

Stefanik won accolades for her aggressive fight against antisemitism on college campuses, including her pressure to force out two Ivy League presidents.

Rep. Elise Stefanik, the No. 4 House Republican and a staunch ally of President-elect Donald Trump, has been chosen to be U.N. ambassador in his next administration.
Trump announced his pick in a statement to The New York Post.

“I am honored to nominate Chairwoman Elise Stefanik to serve in my Cabinet as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations,” Trump said. “Elise is an incredibly strong, tough, and smart America First fighter.”
Stefanik, 40, represents a safely Republican upstate New York district and was a common fixture on the campaign trail for Trump in 2024. She served as House Republicans conference chair the last two years.

Trump Names Stephen Miller As Deputy Chief Of Policy, Vance Confirms

Authored by Jack Phillips via The Epoch Times (emphasis ours),

President-elect Donald Trump is naming longtime adviser Stephen Miller to be the deputy chief of policy in his upcoming administration, according to Vice President-elect JD Vance.

Vance, a Republican Ohio senator, wrote a message of congratulations to Miller on social media platform X, describing the move as “another fantastic pick by the president.” He was responding to a message on X that cited CNN as saying Miller would be named as deputy chief of policy.

The report from CNN, which cited anonymous sources connected to Trump, first reported on the development Monday. Neither Trump nor Miller have commented on Vance’s comment or the reports.

Miller was a senior adviser in Trump’s first term and has been a central figure in many of his policy decisions, namely focusing on illegal immigration and border security. Miller also helped craft many of Trump’s speeches and plans on immigration.

The governor doesn't get to just appoint someone. The district will have a special election, and as Stefanik won with 62% of the vote in her district, you can bet her replacement will be a Republican as well.

Zeldin said it was "an honor to join President Trump’s Cabinet as EPA Administrator."
"We will restore US energy dominance, revitalize our auto industry to bring back American jobs, and make the US the global leader of AI. We will do so while protecting access to clean air and water," Zeldin said in a statement on X.
The New York Post first reported Zeldin's appointment — Trump's second Cabinet pick for his second term in office.

Trump has indicated he plans to withdraw from the Paris climate accord, a move mirroring similar steps he took during his first administration. He has also called for repealing the Inflation Reduction Act, a signature legislative accomplishment by President Joe Biden. The law commits billions of dollars toward expanding clean energy to reduce U.S. greenhouse gas emissions.

Looks like Trump may not need a new Secretary of Education for very long.

And this is a great headline but I think CNN intentionally chose to put up a photo of the Pentagon, which likely won't face the scrutiny or cuts that many "unnecessary" departments will face. Glad to see that federal employees no longer have lifetime job security.

‘Feeling of dread’ spreads across federal workforce as second Trump term looms

CNN — normal
Much of the federal workforce is on edge and bracing itself for the likelihood its ranks will be purged when President-elect Donald Trump takes office.
Trump, who has derided civil servants as agents of the “deep state,” promised on the campaign trail to reinstate a 2020 executive order known as Schedule F, giving him the power to commence mass firings of nonpartisan federal employees who might spoil Trump’s partisan plans.

This guy is really smart. I've listened to a lot of interviews with him, great insight into the security needs of the USA.

Possible CIA director. Possibly other positions (FBI or National Intelligence Director)

Public school education is a state and school district responsibility anyway. What exactly is the purpose of the Dept of Education at the federal level?

Trump selects Kristi Noem to head Department of Homeland Security

Washington Examiner StaffNovember 12, 2024 7:03 am

Noem has been governor of South Dakota since 2019, the first woman to serve as governor in the state’s history. She won reelection in 2022 and began her second term in January 2023. She was elected to South Dakota’s at-large seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in 2010. Before Congress, Noem was elected to South Dakota’s House of Representatives in 2006. The news of her selection was reported by CNN.
Noem was touted as a running mate for Trump in the 2024 election. However, a controversy surrounding a passage from Noem’s newly released book, in which she detailed having to kill a dog, quieted such rumors.
As head of the Department of Homeland Security, Noem will be tasked with protecting the country. As stated on the department’s website: “The Department of Homeland Security has a vital mission: to secure the nation from the many threats we face. This requires the hard work of more than 260,000 employees in jobs that range from aviation and border security to emergency response, from cybersecurity analyst to chemical facility inspector. Our duties are wide-ranging, and our goal is clear — keeping America safe.” . . . .

I'd rather have a guy like that running things that has had mud on his boots than some pencil pusher that doesn't know how to cycle a gun safely (Tampon Tim)
I learned more about Pete Hegseth and withdraw my reservations about him. Masters Degrees from both Princton and Harvard plus a whole lot of real life DOD experience. Go Pete.

Department of government efficiency
I think this will prove to be one of the most fundamental changes for the good of the country. We have long been headed down a dark path of increased government and debt, and this initiative promises to reverse that trend, and instead usher in a return to a much slimmer, more responsive and accountable federal government that is closer to the vision of our founders.
