i know a guy who would love to buy something like that for fast economical logistics runs in and out of his mine but all these new rigs have no usable cargo space they are nothing more than tractors a small tucker would be better than he big morooko i posted pics of in my thread big a$$ tracks. but you hardly ever see a wagon or p/u style tucker come up for sale unless it needs a rebuild as is the case for most of the modern snow cats they are all 2 to 3 passenger and an engine sitting on your cargo bed

The market must be too small for a good utility unit these days. Most of what is currently for sale came from a state or ski lodge and were only meant for grooming trails. There will be a time when a good cargo machine will be out of reach. Of course, you can easily hook up a sled. We've hauled literally tons of freight with a couple ST-4's and an Imp that way.

I agree that the newer Tuckers are lacking in cargo space. There are currently 3 for sale in Alaska that I know of including the one at saturdays Ritchie auction. I'll be at the auction and will give a report on how much it went for. I looked at it and I think it probably came off of the Slope.

There are several other Tuckers for sale in Alaska, Don, that have the flatbed if your buddy is serious. Of course they aren't giving them away if you know what I mean.

There is also a couple of Bombardier Skidozers, a LMC 1500 and a Thiokol 4T10 available.

I'll send you a PM Don but most are on Craigs List or the Alaska Equipment Trade.

This 4T10 may have been posted here before, i don't know? I saw it in the Wasilla area about a month ago. (907) 232-0932

i will print it out and pass it on thanks the tuckers would be the best these guys have water to cross with the tucker sitting up taller it would allow a deeper fording depth before the current trys to wash them down stream.

Yup. I've seen that 4T10 for sale before. Looks like a nice hunting conversion. Very tempting!

I like the mother-in-law seat on top! Low branches are your friend....:whistling:

Looks like a diffrential issue on the right side that had a nasty break and had to be welded up though.

I'm thinking that Bill in ID scored the Tucker in WY. This rig may have been MtnToppers old nemesis with the screws in the track, but it went for $9k with all the implements! The Active track-truck that sold next went for over $5k, if I'm remembering it right.

Wow!

That's a seemingly huge disparity between the orange one in Wyoming for $9K and the blue one in Alaska at $30K.

I don't know the specs on either machine.

Both just have two-man cabs and very limited cargo space...

The orange one does have the wide tracks (which make it roughly 10' wide and require oversize permits for transport), but it also has attachments and a front blade. I wonder how many hours are on that machine.

The blue one has no blade and the 2,795 hours are not "low time".

Does anyone know of any older Sno-Cats for sale in the Eastern US? I bought a 1974 Tucker last year. It needs some track work (like a lot of them I'm learning). Anyway, I kind of have the fever and would like another too. I'm a painter and like painting them. AdirondackSnowcatAndVintageTractor.com if anyone wants to look. Thanks!
