Interesting...

It's listed as a 1543, but it has the long tracks (1600 or 1700 series). Personally I view that as a plus, assuming they are all in good shape. I wonder how many hours are on the machine?

Don's comment about liking this (body) style intrigued me. I've owned a two door, a three door (like this one), and a four door. I very definitely prefer the four door style.

The "sedan", or three door models, have troop seats in the back and there really isn't much room inside. Mine was a 1980 and there was a bulkhead/roll bar between the two front seats and the rear troop seats. That effectively divided the cab into "first class" and "coach". This one is an earlier version without the bulkhead but with the fuel tank inside the cab (as opposed to being mounted outside).

The four door models (like the one Wert is selling on a different thread) are, in my opinion, nicer. Everyone faces forward, everyone has their own window and their own door. It seems roomier and there's no "class divider". If you must carry more than three passengers you're out of luck, but in my case I felt that was such a low probability it wasn't worth all the other sacrifices.

To each his own...
