It is sort of odd that they would close off the front grill to prevent the engine from cooling???

Jim,

Mine did this as well, but since the addition of the slanted vertical piece I made it has not happened. I tried to replicate the original piece from pics of it I found on this forum. By using this piece above and behind the front air vent (grill) you don't have to block this off to get the same efect. This the way the factory intended it to be as well....JMHO....

What's with the pipe assembly at the base of the windshields on this machine?? anyone have a clue??

Regards, Kirk

Bob im guessing those box's are battery boxes and that pipe must be a conduit to connect the batterys together this iditarod was plenty rough i found i had to suck air off one of the heater boxes to keep the carb from freezing up now i plan to build a heat exchanger on the tail pipe so i can have enough carb heat to keep the carb thawd

Don I was the successfull bider. $ 7,000.00 and a bit, I wanted some one else in my area to have one for company so my first one is for sale. I will rebuild this one for a hoby. Transportation will be expensive but what the hell live is short. Bob.

Trying to negotiate a reasonable transportation price. May be expensive buy I really would like a second one in may area to buddy up with. Will have to see the condition of this one and decide which one to keep. Will be in contact later. Regards, Bob.
