1404 Imp - check timing

Is there any way to check the timing on an imp 4 cyl ford motor without taking the cab off?

yes , Locate the timing gear cover and wire brush the timing marks so you can read them and make sure you can see the indicator mark in the pulley . Then rig up a mirror in the engine compartment so you can see the timing marks . You should be able to point your timing light down in to the abyss and see it in the mirror . I believe you should be at 6 deg from TDC with a manual transmission .
