12 Volt Broadcast Spreader Recommendations?

I'm looking for a 12 Volt Broadcast Spreader that can be mounted in a trailer hitch. I'll probably use it mostly on my tractor but it would be nice to be able to mount it on my truck too.

I need to spread mostly fine stuff like Scott's brand fertilizer (it's finer than average fertilizer) and sand. So I don't want it to dump out tons of stuff in a short period of time. I do want it to be able to spread wet sand as I want to start spreading sand over my lawn more often.

Are these Earthway spreaders any good:

Is there any other brands that are similar?

For the 12 volt units, Earthway is supposed to be the very best. Many of their models use stainless steel and good quality poly to stand up to the corrosion that fertilizers can cause. Earthway was strongly recommended to me by an engineer who works for John Deere in their product design/development area. He said it was the only brand he would own and recommended it over the PTO driven spreaders. I bought a PTO driven Herd M96 and am happy with it. I previously owned an Agri-Fab unit and based on its inability to properly work, I firmly believe it was a piece of junk.

How is your Herd PTO spreader at spreading fine stuff? Does it just dump it out in a hurry or can it pace itself?

I prefer to fertilize lightly more often so I don't want to dump a ton of stuff on the lawn.

The Herd M-96 is considered a seeder/spreader and can be adjusted to spread lightly. I think there are a couple others here (thrci and Doc?) who also own the same spreader? I've only used mine last season and then early this season but I am very impressed with it.
