I bought this 1201B from Petersens 2 summers ago. I brought it home & completely replaced the tracks. I installed all "NEW" "J" stlye grousers, tire guides, 4 ply belts, track connectors, backing plates & allen head bolts. I then replaced 2 axles & hubs, repacked all other bearings, installed 8 new tires ( front 2 are foam filled) and completly serviced the unit. I upgraded the wiring, switches & fuse box. I replaced the heater hoses to both heaters. The tracks are 43" wide, the motor is 6 cyl gas Ford, the transmission is C4 automatic & the diff is OC 12. I removed the cover off the diff, everything looks good inside including the brake bands. I took it out to the bush for about a 10 mile run. I didn't like the fact that the trees would smack into the front & roof of the body, so I built front & rear bumpers with a removal "Brush" cage & side baskets for fuel & chain saw. The machine comfortably seats 11 people or 16 kids, it runs great. The machine is about 15' long & 119 1/2" wide. I'm in Alberta, Canada but I have occasion to come back to the US, so I may be able to bring across the border. I know the machine history & there is less than 25 miles on the new tracks. Unfortunatly I have not gotten anymore than 1 foot of snow, the last 2 winters & with the "J" style grousers & the wide tracks, I fell it's to hard on things to run in my area. I dealing on a short track Tucker. I need $19,500.00 for the machine

Hi, Wondering what speed it travels at? Does it have any hydraulics? How many hours are one the machine. We are in BC so it might be a fit for our tours we are trying to start in Wells Gray Park. What is your phone number?

The hour meter reads 3882, it works, & has for the last 15 years that I'm aware of. It likes to travel about 8 mph, it can go faster, but I've never found enough snow. It has no hydralics & never has. Call me at 780-514-0753. Randy

teamster you could remove the drop boxes flip the ring gear and get a better top speed but steering will take a bit more effort.

My problem is I can't travel even 8 mph now. When I replaced the tracks, I put the "J" style grousers on it, now it has so much traction I feel it needs more snow than I've had in last 2 years to run on effectivly. I get a foot of snow, then warms up & melts to 4". If you can flip the diff, how many people have put it in backwards & ended up with more reverse gears than forward?:ermm:

the gear reduction in the drop boxes spin back wards ,so if you pulled the drop boxes off than you would have to flip the ring gear, or you would have 4 gears reverse and 1 forward. the real problem to overgome is the brake bands are intended to work with the differential running in reverse when the ring gear is fliped the steering bands are now being expected to work in reverse of the origional design, where they work less effeciantly

Come store it at my farm In northern Saskatchewan, play with it in our 4+ feet of snow. When you are done playing, I will take good care of it for you on the sled dog trails just to make sure it does not sit and keep everything rolling
