Petersonequipment in Logan is getting ready to work on my snowtrack. However, I need to see if i can locate track guides and a left front axle assembly. Hit a nasty bump a couple years ago and the old welds on the axle broke away and as you can see caused a bit of damage. ST is so loud with the exhaust ported out by the drivers side window that I didn't notice the axle broke. Tried looking for the spring after spring thaw, but had no luck. Peterson indicated they could get a new axle fabricated $$.

Hopefully, someone out there has some parts they are willing to part with.:brows:

Thanks

didn't know there was another snow track web site. What is the url? Got the count on tire guides. I need about 70-80. I emailed couchloafer, however, he must be out and about.

Repairs are coming along. I will post some pictures/video shortly.

Interesting route, Never saw one like that. Has great sound. don't let it blow the hats of the Cub scouts.

Petersonequipment had a contact that would manufacture the tire guides for $9. I ordered 100 of them. I will let you know how they work out next winter. Brakes fixed, wipers replaced. Axle has been rebuilt. I think they are trying to track down a spring for the front end. May need to hit up DDS for his spare if it is available. Tires are in rough shape. I think at this point I will replace and foam fill. Adding a rack up top for gear. Now, I just need a trailer to keep it at the house and lots of snow. :brows:

I am thinking that the taller guides may come close to hitting the track adjusters on the back of the rear wheel.

well that would totally suck boulders. I was informed they tested out fine before the order was placed. However, I have forwarded your comment for a second review. Thanks for replying.

Snowcat is almost complete. I ended up having all the tires replaced and they new ones are being foam filled. Here are some pictures of the new rack. I just need to find a trailer at this point.

What did they supply for you for the small boggie wheels? airplane tires or Oem trelleborgs?

Mike

Mike,

No idea on the tires. Going into this project with a lot of faith that $$$ I am shelling out will be worth it.

well you just need a good set of fenders for that rig now it's looking pretty good i too would be concerned about those guides hitting things as they apear to be patterned after the 3 band tack guides caftsmanship looks a-1

Don, I would agree on the fenders. Any idea where I can start looking to find a pair?

I have asked several times on the tire guides and have been assured each time that the guides will not hit.

snowcat is finally fixed. I just need to find a trailer and pick it up. Also, some snow would be nice.:whistling:

i have to agree on the snow we don't have any here yet i may have to un pickle the jeep and put a heater in and use it t get out in the back country.

Are you selling the front blade for the tucker we have someone looking for one

No, not for sale.

There's a company in SLC called Holland Equipment that makes snow plows, typically for state highway departments. I know they've made plows for snowcats as well.

They're located just a few miles from where my blade is and if you'd like I'll make the blade available to them so they can come by and take photos, measurements, etc.

Here's a link to Holland Equipment: http://www.hecplows.com/

If your customers machine didn't originally have the factory six-way blade set up, and they want to add it, I honestly think they'd be dollars ahead to sell their machine and buy one with a blade. The factory system got you a bigger hydraulic pump, bigger hydraulic reservoir, hydraulic fluid cooler, as well as the welded on blade support framework, etc, etc.

Let me know if I can help.
