Runs. Yup, Tahoe/Truckee unit (from Steve Hoyt). Will get just a few upgrades...battery isolator, alternator, electronic ignition, nav/com, golight, etc.

Congrats Bob! Might I suggest a weight distribution hitch for your trailer and perhaps some airbags for your Jeep! ;)
 
She trailered fine. Hardly knew it was back there, except going uphill. I adjusted the rear air shocks for a level trailer. Hard to tell in the picture, but the Jeep is pointed uphill, and the rear tires and trailer are on level ground. I have a distribution hitch, but it's attached to my 4800lb travel trailer, which I also pull with this Jeep. Probably should have moved it to this trailer since the cat and trailer probably equal the weight of the Jeep.
 
Hate to show my not knowing ... But why are there two sets of steering clutchs? One set looks like the old style cat and one like the new hydrolic assist clutches.

The set with the red and green handles are the gear shifters . You have about 8 speeds in this baby . From super low while your waiting for the limp imps to Super fast as your haulin ass over a Snow Trac .:yum:

You know Boobcat , The more I look at that KT2 the more I think the hood is lower and more sleek than the KT3 .:ermm:

I may have to give that a closer look .
 
I think they're the same BigA, but I'll put a KT-2 and a KT-3 side-by-side in a few days for comparison.

Unfortunately I had to leave her like this since I have to hit the road in the morning. Not to worry, pointed a welder in her direction and she should be ready to be re-tracked before I return in a couple of weeks. For now, she sure looks like groomergitNWOs LameTrac. :pat:

If I was closer I would send out the KKK Rescue Squad and have her up and running by the time you got back .

Most of the time ,my KKK Rescue Squad just saves other less fortunate Brand X snowcat owners because they have inferior rigs .

I think this looks like deliberate sabotage !!!! Where was Mouse Ear Mike when this took place ???

I know you can't help. Your kit is geared toward the attachment points on the front of a Snot Trac, and, heck, a Kristi doesn't even have an attachment point on the front. We're far more accustomed to pulling than being pulled!

Anyway, it'll get fixed. Better here than in the boonies.
 
My Kristi had a Ralph Nader sticker on the dash when I bought it:"UNSAFE AT ANY SPEED"! It was still there when I sold it. Serial number #37? That's cool! sort of like owning one of the first Porsche Speedsters! Now that's what I call "Collectable"

What you don't know is Bob was pulling 3 broke down Snot Tracs , 1 limp Imp . and pushing a puckered Tucker up hill as he went .....both ways . Thats when the little KT Super II finally had all she could handle ......
That story is so great I had a tear in my eye as I told you .... no wait:unsure:...nevermind ....it was an eye goober .
 
You may be right . It appears it may have been sabotage at its former storage place .
We have the Pinkerton Detective Agency checking into this . :w00t2: So far they have discovered hack saw marks ....
