My Imp for sale

Well I am going to buy a Tucker Snowcat and need to sell the old Imp, so I will give the guys here a first shot at it.

It runs very well, just did an 80 mile jaunt out to the cabin and back, ran flawlessly.

The only downside it that I stripped off most of the paint to repaint it and haven't got around to it. Was more interested in it running good than looking fast, but can paint it if someone needed it to look fast.

Just had the tracks off an installed all new springs, all new wheel seals and some new bearings that needed replacement but all are good and greased. Put pipes inside the boogie axles to strengthen them. Did a complete tuneup and oil change on all systems.

Installed backup spotlight, mirror, CB and tail lights.

Basically all it needs is a place to go to and it goes very well with the wide 32" tracks.

Asking $8,000.00 for it and have a twin axle, steel bed trailer with electric. brakes that you can haul it on for $2,500.00 that is eight and a half feet wide and uses a pintal hitch.

IM me if you have any questions.

Anyway, if anyone wants more photos or has questions, let me know. :thumb:

Great idea to strengthen the axles. That oughta hold 'er! Something tells me if you bend *these* axles, that bent axles won't be your biggest problem!

That was a weak point in the Imp's design and this unit was no exception, the axle broke and was replaced and I don't plan on that being an issue again. It also has 1" angle welded to the bottom to supply additional strength. You can see it on the photo where it is welded on the bottom of the axle.

how much and what are you looking for

Asking $8,000.00. Doesn't need anything but a place to run it and a paint job, began stripping the paint off, but decided that the paint didn't keep it from not going anywhere, so was going to get to it during the summer, but didn't yet. Was more concerned about making it run good, which it does.

Took it out yesterday and ran around the swamp just to play with it.

A friend has a Tucker that is late 70's to early 80's with about 300 hours total time. Wife said I have to sell this one before I can buy the other...rats... Use to work on the Tuckers a long time ago and really liked them, cost a bit more as well as operate and a maintance hog compaired to the Imp, but this one is almost new condition.

thanks but we dont have that much right now but i will keep you no the list thanks jerry:tiphat:

Not a problem, would look at trades too, but that is a long haul to pick one up. There should be some down your way already that you can obtain I would think.
