WTS 1960s J-5

I came into a second J-5 and figured I would use it alongside the one I've had for the past 10 years. Instead I finally broke down and bought a tractor, which means I have no use for the other J-5. Though I did think of keeping it anyway :D

Asking $4500, which is what I have into it. Just looking to get my money out, not make a profit.

This is the heavier duty version with the thicker axles and body. I don't know when it was made, but the motor is original. When I last had it running (before I took off the tracks) it ran beautifully.

I've got an ad running in Uncle Henry's (I'm in Maine) starting up whenever they review it. When it's up I'll post a link to it so the pictures can be viewed. Until then, here's the blurb I posted. Contact me if you want me to send along some pics in the mean time:

Bombardier J-5 forestry/farm skid steer tracked vehicle. Versatile, nimble, low impact workhorse for a variety of uses. Bought to compliment my other J-5, decided to replace with a tractor. I got part way into a track restoration before I decided this. Runs great, has some quality modifications, and uses the grease gun type track tension adjustments (better). Comes with two new bands, two used bands, and grouser/guides for two complete tracks. Drive sprockets in good shape, wheel bearings new or excellent used condition, the carb has been rebuilt, has three spare tires, and one extra rim. Also have spare cab I'll throw in for free or sell separately. More pics available.

It will take me a few days to get pictures. But its of my j5 in this post. I have the doors also. As far as price make me a fair offer.

Here are pics of the cab. If someone comes by to pick it up, price is quite reasonable. If I have to package it for shipment, price goes up considerably. I also won't do the legwork to figure out how to ship something like this. I've done it in the past and it's not something I have time for now.

The metal is very solid, but of course the paint is a little hard on the eyes :D Glass/plexi will need to be replaced.
