Looking over some of the old postings here, there's been a lot of interest in the very early snowcats out of Utah Scientific Research Foundation, Logan Utah (pre-Thiokol). According to Lyndon's post, the original #1 was crushed to make Coke cans http://www.forumsforums.com/3_9/showthread.php?t=15371
However, if anyone was seriously interested in resurrecting it, there are very good plans and description in the patent application- http://www.google.com/patents?id=Lm...urce=gbs_overview_r&cad=0#v=onepage&q&f=false
The whole doc. is there as a .pdf download too.
Not showing clearly in the old photos of the real one is the prop and rudder for amphib ocean crossings...
So.. anyone up for building a repro of #1??
