WTS 1974 Thiokol Spryte 1200C

'74 1200C wide track, 10 man cab, 1600 hours. Designed and restored/renovated specifically to plow roads and go on extended week ski trips. Has custom forward frame addition & blade receiver hitch for using 6 way, T handle controlled heavy duty blade. This is a 1200C cat at that can actually do heavy duty plowing without damaging itself. Custom auxiliary fused electrical system with 95 amp alternator, isolator, military deep cell batteries, inverter, 750watt KC lights, stereo, C.B., etc. Heavily insulated, metal floor, 6' removable bed, ski rack, top rack, storage areas, grab handles, rain gutters, etc. Custom painted: sandblasted, acid washed, 2 pt. epoxy primer & final coat, truck bed liner under body. New rear sprockets, tracks in great shape. Rebuilt differential, Weber carburetor, new S.S.brake cylinders, brake bands, new engine electrical system, rear hydraulics; all fluids recently changed.

I drove it once last winter.

Yes it is available. Currently up at our base camp in the Whistler backcountry. I looked at 601's too but decided on the Spryte with it's wide tracks... it is built for deep snow and has a more solid front axle. You NEED a blade for what you want to do and this unit has a heavy setup so you can punch a road when needed.

You should come up and check it out, it's blowing minds up here everyday. Beautiful machine and running well. Changing a spindle right now, but we'll have it up and rolling shortly.

Cat is still for sale! We have put 100 hours into maintenance this year: guide and grouser tightening, more cab reinforcement, a new front axle and tortion axles, spindles, some new foam filled tires, powder coated the roof rack, new hydraulic hoses, machine starts right up and is still running cherry. Price is firm at $25k USD, rack is extra.

This unit does really well in very deep snow. With 44" wide tracks I think it's running around .65 PSI
